Fully customizable invoice layout
Maybe using XHTML/CSS, or a custom editor for the invoice layout.
You can now add instructions to an invoice by going to your business profile and entering them into the “Invoice Instructions” field. They will be included on every invoice below the memo. This could be where you put your “make payable to” or bank deposit information. CSS/XHTML templates are in beta now too, read more here: https://www.clarityaccounting.com/help/index.php/2009/05/04/customize-layout-appearance-invoices/
We appreciate your feedback on these features and any suggestions you might have to improve them.

Hi blankspace,
If you're not afraid of some XHTML/CSS coding you should be able to customize the invoice layout if you follow the instructions here:
https://www.clarityaccounting.com/help/index.php/2009/05/04/customize-layout-appearance-invoices/
Don't hesitate to contact us for assistance in this, it's still in beta and we're happy to help you past any rough patches you encounter.

I would love to be able to omit the "Quantity" field. I run a design business where most of our projects are billed by the project and not by the hour. I am using the free trial right now, and comparing it to lessaccounting. This seemingly really simple feature may be a deal breaker for me. So far I prefer clarity's user interface and other features. However having some control over the visual design of the invoice would be a huge addition.

If we could customize it without having html knowledge..that would be great.

I love Freshbooks but it would be nice if Clarity did everything!

Be able to add a custom footnote that's applied to all invoices. For example a "Remit payment to: ...address" would be nice so customers know where to send there checks to.

Automated addition of bank information for the invoice from account data would be awesome.
